As ever, this will be going on all day, so feel free to pop into the Spotted Dog anytime to try your hand with a stock snail, or even your own thoroughbred.

Last year Col. Cornelius C. Crabbe (Ret.) spent most of his free time (and army pension) building a frankly maginificent stadium – the GastroDome™ – for the event, complete with working floodlights!

Unfortunately some moron left it outside during the heaviest snow of last winter, and ’twas ruined for ever.

This year the GastroDome™ will be even more of a spectacle, complete with big screen I am told…
